Session regarding "Arterial Blood Gases (ABG) Analysis"

A session regarding 'Arterial Blood Gases (ABG) Analysis' was put together by the efforts of the Placement Bureau, Saleem Campus, on 17 May 2024. Providing valuable insights into the latest advancements, practical applications, and future directions in ABG testing, the lecture signified the importance of continuous education and innovation in improving patient care outcomes through effective ABG analysis. ABGs are the tests that measure the acidity (pH) and the levels of oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) in the blood. The instructor Dr. Salman Azhar, Asst. Professor Medicine, MTH provided the latest guidelines on the use of ABGs in critical care, including ventilator management and acid-base disturbances. The session aimed at highlighting ethical considerations and patient safety in the era of advanced diagnostics. Students were provided with a significant increase in their understanding of both fundamental and advanced aspects of ABG analysis.
